Still they can't leave each other alone in or out of bed.
Sharla believes they can work things out until she discovers the secret he's been keeping. Another act of betrayal from the man she loves sends her into a downward spiral of distrust for any man. She thinks Brent's explanation is feeble, materialistic and shallow. Can she change her mind and if she does, will he still be available and want her?

I liked this book. It flowed and had a story that took your interest straight away which to me is important. A slow start is definitely a deterrent for me. It showed a woman not being a pushover, which I think is necessary as so many romances show the weak side of woman. Also it showed the other side of what a man has to go through to finish mistakes and learn how to deal with the past programming from the parents. The dog and it's ongoing care while she travelled and the psychic element also made it interesting. I was having some broken bones and resting up and I found it a good read.Product details

I am an animal lover and I really enjoy reading reading stories that include them. I enjoyed the storyline also.
I read the entire book but it wasn't a book I couldn't have walked away from at the same time.
not as smooth or suspenseful as I had hoped, but a light little read for summer. characters could have been more strongly developed.
I am not much of a romance novel reader but I loved this book. It kept my attention from beginning to the end. It brought me into the book. I wasn't able to put it down. It made me laugh and cry all at the same time. I didn't want the book to end and wanted more. I have to say that this is a must read.
I would recommend this book to everyone who loves a good romance.
I gave this review 5, stars because it was a very well written book and didn't dwell on the character's age, but did dwell on the timelessness of love.

Not a very realistic scenario. Most people who have a beloved pet won't tolerate a new person in their lives that bad talk the animal or tell you to keep the animal away from them. I would have shown him the door right away. Too many times in the book the woman is "tolerating" a bad mannered male. Not my type of relationship, so not my type of plot for a book.
As a 36 year old with friends in their early 40s I thought this would be of my generation. Not so much. The main characters seem more like my parents' age. Here is how the story goes...she is put together, everything she and guy do are successful. they are perfect together. have perfect friends for each other..Even their fights aren't explored much. Absolutely no detail in the romance dept if you know what I mean. It wasn't horrible - I did finish it. Just very tame and uneventful.
